My strong bond with the animal world began at an

early age.  My family raised pedigree Airedale Terriers for a short time while I was in grade school and the movie Bambi made a lasting impression.   My passion for animal welfare grew after rescuing a starving cat from my neighbor's tall maple tree and reuniting it with its owners who lived miles away when I was 15.              newspaper photo  >

Overtime, this led to being an adoption volunteer with the ASPCA in NYC,

President of the Windham County Humane Society -Vermont and a

long-time volunteer/fosterer with the Seattle Animal Shelter.  I have rescued many dogs, cats, birds and other small wildlife and HLW has donated hundreds of collars and leads to animal shelters in Vermont, Massachusetts and Washington.

My beloved English Springer Spaniel Muppet shared my life for over 14 years.  I look forward

to the day when I can welcome home a new dog.

I am a former marketing executive for Nordstrom and Revlon and several other Fortune 500 companies. I grew up in Westchester County, New York where my folks, Jeanne 92 and John 93, still reside in the house I grew up in-next to the neighbor's tall maple tree.
